Startup keys to know while booting your Mac
Hold these keys down during startup:
Option (⌥) - Starts the Startup Manager
C - Boot from a CD or DVD
D - Starts the Apple Hardware Test from Install DVD 1 (Intel Only)
⏏, F12 or Mouse Button - Ejects the optical disc
T - Starts your Mac in FireWire Target Disk mode.
Option, Command, P, R (⌥⌘PR) - Resets NVRAM or PRAM
Shift (⇧) - Starts in Safe Boot mode
⌘V - Starts in Verbose mode
⌘S - Starts in Single-User mode
N or ⌥N - Start from a NetBoot Server
