Display Shut Down Dialog - ⌃⏏
From the Finder:
Log Out - ⇧⌘Q
Log Out Immediately - ⌥⇧⌘Q

Neat! I'll definitely use this on my hackintosh.
I was wondering about the exact same "problem" about a week before you published this quick tip. Those short cuts are really handy to know.
To add to that: Shift-Control-Eject quickly turns your screen off.
